 PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL-KINDERGARTEN KIDS!

Our basic truth for May is God Loves Me! Your kid’s will come home this month knowing Isaiah 1:17 by memory, “Learn to do what is right.” (NIrV)

Week 4 – Kid’s will look at the story of Daniel and the Lions in Daniel chapter 6, and see that God wants me to do the right thing! Daniel was living in a far away place where people didn’t believe in God. But Daniel prayed to God every single day. Even when men who were jealous of Daniels’ success tricked the King into throwing Daniel into the lion’s den, Daniel continued to pray to the one true God. Make a point this week to stress the importance of prayer with your kids. Are you in the habit of praying together?

PARENTS OF ELEMENTARY KIDS!

Our MAY VIRTUE is RESPONSIBILITY – SHOWING YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU!

Week 4 – This week your kid’s discover the greatest commandment! When we love God more than anything, the other things we’ve been talking about this month, like our stuff, words and actions, are easier to live out. When you get the relationship part right, the responsibility part becomes a more natural expression of our love rather than something we do because it’s a rule. Our bottom line this week is: I can be trusted when I put God first.

As we wrap up our month-long conversation about responsibility, challenge your kid’s with these things this week:

When I put God first, all of those other things I’m responsible for just fall into place.

When I put God first, I’m thinking of how I can use my talents to show Him how much I love Him.

When I put God first, I’m choosing words that honor and bring glory to Him.

When I put God first, I’m loving people around me, because they are unique and wonderful creations.
