PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL-KINDERGARTEN KIDS!

Our basic truth for May is God Loves Me! Your kid’s will come home this month knowing Isaiah 1:17 by memory, “Learn to do what is right.” (NIrV)

Week 3 – Kid’s will look at the story of Daniel’s diet in Daniel chapter 1, and see that God wants me to do the right thing! God tells us that he will give us the strength and the courage to do the right thing. Have you ever noticed that when you do the right thing, it makes you feel good, and feel content? And that makes it a little easier to do the right thing the next time around.

PARENTS OF ELEMENTARY KIDS!

Our MAY VIRTUE is RESPONSIBILITY – SHOWING YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU!

Week 3 – Our Bible story this weekend is the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37). In this parable we see how the people we most expect to be responsible, aren’t responsible at all! Your kids will be challenged to be more like the Samaritan, even if we’re busy or have other reasons not to stop and help someone. Ask your child this week how he thinks he can be more responsible with his actions?  We can’t do this on our own. God is the one who’s responsible and our responsibility is a reflection of Him. Our bottom line this week is: I can be trusted when I choose to help others in need.

Our memory verse this month is Luke 16:10, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Encourage your kid’s to memorize this verse, but more than that, plug it in to their head AND their heart.
