PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL-KINDERGARTEN KIDS!
Our basic truth for April is Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever! Your kid’s will come home this month knowing Proverbs 17:17 by memory, “A friend loves at all times.”
Week 5 – As we wrap up this 5 weekend month, kid’s will be reminded that Jesus is my good friend. When Jesus left this earth, he told his friends that he was going away to make a special place where they could all be together… FOREVER! And this wasn’t just a place for them, but it’s a place for us too! Read John 14:1-4 with your child this week. Talk about what heaven will be like. Read your child the children’s book “Heaven Is For Real”. Forever with Jesus is sweet!

Our APRIL VIRTUE is HOPE – believing that something good can come out of something bad
Week 5 – This week our bottom line for Grades 1-3 is whatever happens, tell others what God has done. We will fast forward to a story of two of Jesus’ disciples, Peter and John. They were performing miracles and they got into trouble by people who were jealous and felt threatened. As they continued the ministry Jesus started while he was on the earth, they lived out what they learned from Jesus and shared this big story – the Gospel – that they had experienced themselves. Kids will learn that when we realize all that God is doing in our lives, it’s natural to share that hope we have with others.
Grades 4-5 will be learning a very important faith skill – knowing the importance and significance of the Bible, God’s letter to us, and looking at how it was written, who wrote it, that it is without errors, and how it has lasted for thousands of years. A great resource to have at home on this topic is the book – Amazing Questions Kids Ask About The Bible by David R. Veerman and published by Tyndale House Publishers.
