FAMILY DEDICATION
The act of dedicating children to the Lord was a common practice of blessing in biblical times. Just as Hannah, the mother of Samuel, dedicated her son to the Lord (1 Samuel 1) and Mary presented Jesus to God (Luke 1:21-38), we encourage our families to commit their children to God and to commit to raising them with His help.
PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL-KINDERGARTEN KIDS!
Our basic truth for April is Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever! Your kid’s will come home this month knowing Proverbs 17:17 by memory, “A friend loves at all times.”
Week 3 – Kid’s love stories. They love for Dad or Mom to sit down and read to them! This weekend your kid’s will learn that Jesus’ friend Martha loved to sit and listen to Jesus. Jesus loved to spend time with Martha and her sister Mary too. The same is true today. Jesus wants to spend time with you. He wants to be your good friend!
PARENTS OF ELEMENTARY KIDS!
Our APRIL VIRTUE is HOPE – believing that something good can come out of something bad
Week 3 – This week we see that the disciples and other people who knew Jesus are still confused by all that has happened. Jesus joins two guys on the road to Emmaus and later, as they are eating dinner, Jesus breaks bread, and they realize who he is and what really is happening! Our bottom line is whatever happens, remember God has a bigger story!
PARENT CUE HANDOUT!
